Salmon Caviar (Ikura)
Salted salmon caviar, or ikura, is produced from chum and pink salmon and is available in 1 kg and 10 kg containers. Sold in Canada, the US, Japan and Europe.

Salmon Roe Skeins (Sujiko)
Salted salmon roe skeins, or sujiko, are produced mainly from sockeye, pink and chum salmon. Available in 5 kg containers, these products are exported to the Japanese market.

Herring Roe (Kazunoko)
Pacific herring are harvested mainly for their roe. Extracted, graded and packed in 38 lb. pails, Canfisco’s golden herring roe, or kazunoko, is shipped primarily to Japan and meets the high quality demands of the kazunoko trade.

Herring Roe on Kelp (Komochi Kombu)
Kelp covered with herring roe spawn is harvested, brine-cured, graded, and packed in 35 lb. pails. Primarily sold in Japan, Canfisco’s golden herring roe on kelp, or komochi kombu, is recognized for its fine quality.

Pacific Hake (Merluccius Productus)
Pacific hake is a delicate white fish that is harvested using mid-water trawl and processed at Canfisco’s shore-based plant in Vancouver’s Lower Mainland. Canfisco produces both block frozen and individually quick frozen (IQF) hake products in 300-500 gram and 500+ gram sizes. Canfisco exports this product to throughout the world.

Black Cod
Black cod, or sable fish, are revered for their delicate flavour and extremely high oil content. Traditionally prized as sushi, its popularity continues to increase as consumers realize how versatile this delectable fish can be, suitable for many types of cuisine.

Halibut
Halibut is the king of west coast bottom fish, reaching sizes in excess of 600 lb. Canfisco pioneered the shipping of fresh halibut on ice by rail to the east coast in the 1930’s. Today we sell this hearty fish to markets around the world.

Pilchards
Pilchards, commonly called Pacific sardines, are now available after a long absence from the west coast. Particularly prized for their high omega-3 oil content, these fish are sold frozen in 10 kg master containers. Sizing is calculated on a fish count per 10 kg basis with sizes ranging from 40 count to 65+ counts.

Food Herring
Pacific herring is regaining popularity as a common food item. Ideal for brining and pickling, these fish are available whole and bulk frozen in 10 kg boxes.
